Yet Another Crisis in The Middle East
After extensive rioting in the Middle East Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said they had devided to resume peace talks between Israeli and Palestinians. Annan stated that Israelis not the Palestinians could be blamed for the conflict that has been being battled since September 28. He also stated that each group, the Israelis and the Palestinians, had to work hard inorder to maintain the much needed peace.
Barak Stated that he was unaware of any impending plans for a probosed peace summit with Arafat, he coined the talks as “an egg that hasn’t hached yet.”
During an earlier meeting with Arafat, Annan stated that the situation looked “optimistic,” he believed that he could shortly harness and control the situation.
